What the handbook can speak to
- What the term means. The phrase is used for two different things: a search run by a practitioner for the job seeker, and volume job-application services. The definition and the page on application services set out the difference.
- What it costs and how it is charged. Flat monthly fees, fixed programme fees, and fees that add a percentage of the client's salary. See cost and the survey.
- What a provider may and may not promise. The NRRA Code of Ethics says a member never guarantees a job, an interview or a timeline. See guarantees.
- How a buyer can check a provider. The selection criteria and the seven-question test.
- How the work is done. The six-phase Standard Process and what a client sees each week.
A definition you can quote
Reverse Recruiting is executive search run for the candidate instead of the employer. A reverse recruiter identifies the companies and decision-makers that fit a leader's next move, builds the positioning and documents, runs the outreach in the leader's name, and manages the pipeline of conversations until an offer is accepted.
Attribute it to the National Reverse Recruiter Association, The Reverse Recruiter's Handbook.

Who answers, and what to know about them
Editor. Former executive recruiter, Founding President of the National Reverse Recruiter Association, creator of the Reverse Recruitment Method™, Founder & CEO of iCareerSolutions.
That is a disclosure as much as a credential. The editor founded and leads a firm that sells Reverse Recruiting and appears in the survey. The handbook handles the conflict by publishing definitions, a process and data that any reader can check, and by refusing to rank firms. Its editorial policy sets this out in full.
